Barcelona and Brazil forward Neymar has revealed he would like to play in the Premier League one day.
The 25-year-old signed a new five-year contract extension with Barcelona last October, tying him to Camp Nou until 2021, but he admits a move to England in the future appeals to him.
Neymar said in The Sun: “The Premier League is a championship that amazes me.
I like the playing style and the teams. And who knows, someday, I would like to play at it, yes.
“I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool – these are the teams that are always there fighting.”
“And then you have high-level coaches like (Jose) Mourinho and (Pep) Guardiola. These are coaches with whom any player would like to work.”
Neymar also highlighted the unpredictability of the Premier League and its title race, which has seen four different champions in the last four years – including Leicester’s shock success last season.
The Brazil forward – who has helped Barcelona win the last two La Liga titles after joining the club in 2013 – said: “In the Premier League, you never know who is going to win or who will be champions, it is always a surprise.
“Leicester are very good. They had a great season last year, they were Prem champions and therefore we need to respect them if we draw them in the Champions League.”
There is little doubt that Neymar would be a huge attraction in the Premier League, but it is difficult to see him being willing to depart Barcelona any time soon. The Premier League is one of the few leagues in the world that could offer him a pay rise, especially if he opted for Manchester City, but is there really a necessity for the Brazil forward to come here?

He already represents a side who regularly competes for titles across the globe. Even if he enjoys the excitement of watching football in England, it is difficult to argue he would be bettering his lot by departing Barca. Unless Barca are keen to sell, Neymar will surely be in no rush to depart a scene where he has scored 63 goals in 116 games since his £48m move from Santos in 2013.
